REIMS - Livin La Vida Loca

What to do when you're walking around Reims in the night:

Hate Nickelback..

And then hit the Asian Traiteur/Karaoke Bar

YES. It's always good to get your dose of Abba, Cindy Lauper and Ricky Martin.

Classic. "OH, SEE THAT GIRL" in the background makes me smile..

The lighting, the decoration, very nice.

The most enthusiastic of all though, was the couple dancing in the back. I'll be happy if I reach 70 and can still move my hips like that! They even joined us in the conga line danced in pairs with their younger counterparts, us.

What a cool DJ.

REIMS - Pubs and Dinners

After a long run, both teams decide to enjoy the twilight, smoke a cigarrette and plan the next move that will lead to the conquest of Reims by the pseudoparisian crew. First stops take us into a pub, second for dinner... but this was all just building up tension to what would happen later. The night was just starting.

Oh yeah, and Sam ordered 3 bottles of champagne for dinner. When we realized they were 50 euros each, the cheapest, we politely (meaning someone ran before they popped them) sais we only needed one, merci beaucoup.

Phew.

Dinner at the restaurant with the cow patterned chairs.

REIMS - Family Portraits

Siblings, the lost child meets his sister in Paris.

REIMS - Surprise!

Well how thoughtful of the boys to leave some welcome-to-Reims presents in our rooms, made us feel right at home. Good start, the trip really ended up being a road trip due to our inability to read directions (or should I say Google maps, really, get you game on cause the roads you told us do not exist). Now, it was champagne time!

REIMS - Leaving Paris

10 am, meet up at the car rental at Rue de la Roquette. Talk a bit, wake up, get ready for the "roa trip" (Reims is only a coupe of hours away, around 1 1/2, BUT we kind of got lost getting outside of Paris an then even more lost getting into Reims...)

When I say "we" it's the girls' car. Too bad I had literally told some of the boys "we're gonna kick your ass, it's girls vs. boys" cause we lost for a solid couple of hours. hey, it's not our fault we don't have a GPS you cheaters! I'm really thankful for the guy at the corner store in Reims, and the guy at the hot dog stand, because they both drew maps for us. Nice people at Reims, nice people in that town... and we hadn't met our Asian friends at the karaoke bar yet (oh get ready for this).

YES

I got these pretty shoes and my bank's just gonna have to deal with it.

Day off

Hi, I'm in denial so I went shopping.

Also cause I went out Friay night to celebrate haning in a paper and it was so cold the soles of my feet were burning like never before. I also didn't have gloves and that was, not cool.

So I went shopping, and I got a little carried away... Because I need I had to go back home to start the essay I have to hand in tomorrow. So I just never came back and my enial kept me going for hours.

Until I was extremely hungry so I came back, and I saw an envelope from the bank I hadn't opened. It said I had to meet my avisor cause I had an overdraft of 340 euros FMLLL.

So I was even more in denial after seeing that (of both my paper an my banking problems) and I went out, but this time I didn't get cold cause I wore my new clothes, HA! And I woke up, still in denial, and did the dishes, cleaned the whole apartment, made tea... I am currently writing on my blog... At one point this day I will start me paper dur tomorrow, ah!

Denial feels so good though, and now my apartment is so clean and pretty. I'm gonna go get a bagel at the cute place in the neighborhood ciao.
