Souterrain

Yesterday night. One of those nights that makes me feel like I should be in Paris right now, and I am, and that's great. Started with a concert at La Fleche d'Or where La Femme and other bands were playing. There were 5 of us girls and really great group + wine dynamics going on. Afterwards, on our way to an afterparty in someone's apartment, a guy comes up to us and asks us if we're looking for the entrance to the 'party'. We found out in a bit that there was an underground party going on (literally), and that the entrance was not far from were we were. The guy and his group of friends offered to take us all and so we all, in groups of four, climbed down and walked through some tunnels until we could hear the music where the party was going on.

Amazing.

Jess' Place

Been hanging out with Jessica a lot, she's lovely. We have three classes together and get along great, so we decided to do a marathon paper writing session Thursday night to get one of our assignments out of the way. Lots of black tea and good music. Her place is so spacious and has great lighting, with beautiful windows to the street. I love what she's done to decorate it with pictures and some of her own artwork on the wall, so I took her camera and snapped a few shots.

'The Nostalgic Generation', said Jess. We discussed the reasons why our generation seemed to be so nostalgic about the past.

Any Given Sunday

This was the last Sunday of my beautifully careless life. From this day on, I will be focusing on the 4 essays + 3 presentations that I will have to hand in during the last week of March and first two weeks of April.

But, I'll get it done, I'll "make it work" (in the words of Tim Gunn) so it's all good. Also, life is good despite the stress: I'm going to yoga and bike classes, I'm working on a great project about 'art contestataire' in my Mouvements Sociaux class, and I'm going to a concert on Friday (and yes, Primavera Sound in Barcelona in May!)

This is how my Sunday looked like, be jealous!

Breakfast: Fresh fruit and veggies from the market, and french toast.

Next step: Climbing up the roof and playing music.

Finally, we went to a little festival going on at La Bellevilloise where we checked out some local designer clothing, had a sandwich and beer and walked around Belleville.

So many good things for one day. Ciao.

Things To Do in Scandinavia Pt1

If you don't have time to go into Christiania (like me, unfortunately) get a pair of Stoner Glasses in the closest second-hand store and enjoy the riiiiiiide.

Stoner glasses: ~10 Swedish krona (1.1 euros)

WIN.

Stay in a friend's place and do hygge things like dinner parties and hungover Sundays.

Use their amazingly clean, nice-smelling, on time, amateur artist/puker free transit and enjoy the views from Sweden to Denmark. Also laugh when you hear the lady saying the names of places.

Walk around the pretty cities (Note: MUST wear warm clothes!!!!!!!! Just saying)

Copenhagen

Lund

Indulge in the pleasures of fika afternoons and vintage shopping

Finally, pull a little "Milena" from time to time to have energy for the night.

'What to do in Copenhagen Pt2 will come soon when I steal some pictures from Bridge and Sam, and even more when I develop my two film rolls.

Stay tuned!

Bienvenue

Just came back from CPH a few hous ago. What a jetsetter. Landing in Paris, 'home'. Oh yeah, and a guy on the metro spat on me (and Bridgette by association) because I accidentally hit him
with our bag (I barely touched him and then very politely said excusez-moi!). What a DOUCHE.

Orange juice. In the bag, Bridgette's coat, my scarf. Just thinking about it I wanna laugh but I'm also SO MAD!

That was the "Bonjour Paris" moment.

We watched this film our last afternoon in Copenhagen in Hjalte's living room. All of us trying to be humans... watching this film, and then the spit landed all over us.

Not cool!!

Fuck that, I'll move to Copenhagen where everything's clean and pretty and lines are shorter. Hopefully my mood changes tomorrow when I walk to school and Paris seems beautiful again. Note to self: Avoid metro, avoid metro, avoid metro.

Irony.

Ah! My bed again. Reunited. Tonight will be a good night, but already miss like crazy those pretty friends I left in the Scandie lands.
